Welcome to Atkinson Road—A primary school based in Benwell, Newcastle which received a 'Good' Ofsted Grade, as well as being rated as 'Outstanding' for personal development in June 2023.
We are one of the few primary schools in Newcastle to receive a ‘Good’ Ofsted grade with an overall outstanding rating for personal development. We are a “wonderfully supportive school”, where the children have a “strong sense of belonging'.

It was a beautiful day at forest school. We took some Nursery children over for a first visit. They did really well, exploring tricky paths and climbing up on the rocks and rolling down the hill on the grass 👍 They also enjoyed finding feathers, cones and sticks to take back to Mrs Woodruff. Hopefully the sun will keep shining for a bit longer 😀☀️
